An example outline for the evaluation of a Java implementation of the JPEG example can be found here For this example, someone writing this report would describe:

• the implementation (e.g. This is an implementation of the JPEG example in Java, judging by the description one would probably need to implement these classes...., and this class would have these methods, this method would have these ops, and this many lines of code...)
• how they came about their estimates (without implementing the example), and at the end the actual result (e.g. these instructions would take this much time ..., so the total execution time would be ... sec).

The more details you include the more accurate your estimate but please be brief and to the point. Again, remember that this is just an estimate, but there should be some justification and if references are used they should be pointed out clearly (e.g. according to [...] JITs have an improvement of 10% in execution speed, this estimate is applicable in this case because ...)
