UCB Human-Centered Computing RetreatGranlibakken Conference Center, Lake Tahoe
|
This will be the 5th HCC group retreat. HCC is a group of faculty from many departments interested in the design and implications of computer systems in context. The retreat is a 3-day event with faculty and students from UCB and interested industry people. We expect about 60 people. There are no costs for attending the retreat . You can find out more about Granlibakken here. We won't provide transportation, but if you'd like help finding a partner to carpool with, mail jfc@cs.berkeley.edu.
As well as general overviews, this retreat will have a focus on two topics: (i) human-centered design (ii) open-source software development. The design focus is for a proposed new center in design (BID) at Berkeley. Topic (ii) is being studied by faculty in at least 3 departments on campus and is a good starting point for new collaborations.
The main HCC project page is here.
