Here are some photos of the newest (year 2000) version of our prototype. The main changes with respect to the 2nd generation version have to do with suppressing vertical vibration modes of both the supporting breadboard and the horizontal plate itself. Toward that end, (a) the apparatus is now mounted on a sturdy Newport optical table; (b) the vibrating plate is a 1" thick Teklam aluminum honeycomb.
