REPORTS:
These are some key elements that would make up a good report:
A statement of the problem and why it is important, interesting or fun.
A few references to other researchers who have worked on that problem,
and a sentence or two each, how they tackled it.
A brief description of how you originally proposed to solve the problem.
What you learned, and what (unexpected?) difficulties arose that may have forced you to change plans.
A detailed description of the way that you eventually solved the problem,
and how your program(s) work.
Examples of achieved results.
A "user's manual" for your software that tells a 3rd party how to use your code.
