Hi! I am a fourth-year PhD student in computer science at University of California, Berkeley, advised by Michael I. Jordan. I am affiliated with Berkeley AI Research (BAIR) and RISE Lab.

My research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, optimization, statistics and market design, in particular building machine learning systems that are more robust, equitable, and responsive to the evolving economic and social needs. Some areas I am interested in and have worked on include online learning algorithms, auction and game theory, algorithmic fairness, distributed and robust optimization, causal inference.

Before Berkeley, I graduated with a BA triple majored in physics, mathematics and computer science from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with first class honors. In 2021 summer, I worked at Microsoft Research New England (machine learning and statistics team) as a research intern.

I am generously supported by a Google Ph.D. Fellowship in Algorithms, Optimizations and Markets, and a Berkeley Gilbert Henry Gates Graduate Fellowship.
