The schematics were generated on Canvas.
They were saved as pict files, that can be read by photoshop.
In photoshop they were saved as as tiff (pc-version) files.

The floorplans were scanned in on the macintosh scanner in 634.
They were read in with photoshop as pict files.
They were converted to gray level images.
They were then cropped - and rotated 90 degrees if necessary.
They were saved as 1-bit pict images.
The were read into photoshop again and saved as tiff (pc-version).

Then fetch was opened and a connection to discovery was established.
The tiff images were "put" into this directory over the network;
in this transfer the file format "raw" data was used.

These tiff files were then loaded into  xv
and, after possible scaling, saved as gif-files.
