This is very frustrating.
My figures are in the form F1a, F1b, F2a, F2b, etc.
I spent an hour uploading about 44 sub-figures with names as above.
The system then complains that figures must have simple integers as numbers, 
and it will not allow me to upload the long list of attached files that I have just created.
>> I will now try to upload all the figures in one zip-file under the item 
"supplementary material not for review."
