-- now we will discuss the processes to create new shapes.

What are the design/creation processes that you propose for the various modeling examples ?
Short presentations and discussions.
Discuss "Surface Design Interface ..." paper
What are the strength and weaknesses of this approach ?
How could this approach be improved ?
Next time we will compare the above approach with Jorg Peters' approach.
Jorg has indicated that he would be willing to give us his system as well as source code for experimentation and further development.

In our reading assignments we will proceed from rather unstructured design approaches to more structured ones.

Lab and Accounts

Our main lab for this course will be 349 Soda, with 330 Soda as backup.

You will have to visit 387 Soda Hall with your cardkey to gain access to these card-key-controlled rooms.

To obtain an instructional UNIX account,

I have submitted the class list on 1/24/00 evening to 333 Soda, so your name should be on the www-inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~roster as being preapproved for access to 330 and 349 Soda.
