Informal Progress Report and Brainstorming Discussion of Your Project
Many industrial "design factories" -- including Pixar, and Lucas Film,
have weekly or even daily "design progress review meetings"
where each member of a team briefly discusses, what he/she has done last week (or last night),
discusses the technical problem that he/she struggles with,
and then solicits feedback and constructive ideas from all team members.
Brief presentations (about 4-5 minutes) that
- remind people what the goal is for your project,
- tell us where you stand in your project,
- and describe a conceptual, geometrical, procedural,or implementation problem that you are currently struggling with.
Followed by a 5-minute Q&A and discussion/feedback period.
The goal is to learn how to use such meetings and the precious time of your peers most effectively
for maximum advancement in your own project.
