CS 285: SOLID MODELING, Spring 2002
Assignment #6
Building your Bell on the FDM Machine
- Iterate between SLIDE and QuickSlice,
until you have a design that shows no problem in slicing,
support calculation, and road building.
It is OK to modify your current design, and to make it better or fancier.
- Move your design via the internet to the FDM machine in 2115 Etcheverry.
- Check that your SML files are indeed viable for the 1650 machine.
If you have the slightest doubt, it is worthwhile starting again from
the STL file and running again through all the steps in QuickSlice.
- Then follow carefully the instructions on the left sheet posted on the side wall
of the FDM machine, and build your bell.
- Please make contact with Kiha Lee or Young Shon to schedule a time for your fab run.
- Bring your completed FDM bell to class.
