Subject: Follow-up

I wanted to follow-up about the future visits to Santa Cruz.

We are asking everyone if they have a good time in the summer to visit, with a suggestion of July. This is due in part because we'd like to get together more often, in part because Santa Cruz is a lot more fun for the teenagers and adults in the summer (from surfing to more Boardwalk rides to antique shows to fishing), and in part because Christmas is the such a hectic time of year.

In the next 2 weeks there we are giving a final exam, grading it, and assigning grades to 340 students, doing 2 improv shows and rehearsals, going to 2 Christmas parties, 2 rounds of opening presents, plus Christmas shopping and decorating and getting the house ready for visitors. We knew that Christmas would be hectic, but agreed to do it this year because of the special situation in Texas, but its even more crazy than we expected.

Thus I've contacted my siblings to see when most (or hopefully all) of us can get together in the summer, which I hope we'll talk about when we get together. I presume summer is wide open for you two, but July was the tentative month. A summer family reunion should be fun! I also asked whether someone else would host a Christmas visit next year if we want to get together then too, but we're going to stick to summer for large groups to make our lives less stressful.
