The golf was at Delavega, a very difficult public course. So difficult there was no need to add up the scores.
The surf was non-existant at 1:30 PM, so the instructor gave us the option of either driving to Manessa State Beach and then getting pounded by the shore break, or return at 6 AM the next morning as he guaranteed that Colwells would have waves. We chose to wait.
We went to Sunny Cove to ride Bogey Boards. With Molly as our lifeguard, we jumped in the cold water and waited for the small waves. Alyssa learned to catch waves despite not having swim fins, which is no small feat. (Although her small feet did prevent her from using swim fins.) Brain, John, and Paul picked up where the left off last time, catching waves repeatedly, under the watchful eyes of our lifeguard and her two assistants.
That night we went to Santa Cruz Cinemas to see "Eight Legged Freaks." We gave it mixed reviews, with some of the younger members of the clan wishing we had seen "Reign of Fire" instead, while the more mature clanspeople recognized "Eight Legged Freaks" as a cult classic along the lines of "Tremors." Time will tell which group made the right call.
