I am a fifth year graduate student at UC Berkeley studying computer vision with Professor Trevor Darrell.
My PhD work has focussed on building systems which can express information about visual content using natural language and retrieve visual information given natural language.
Before attending UC Berkeley, I was an undergraduate at Rice University. I worked with Richard Baraniuk on a lensless imaging system and with Junichiro Kono on terahertz spectroscopy.
I spent two summers at Google where I worked on camera hardware with the Chromebook team (summer 2012) and the Google Glass team (summer 2013). In the summers of 2016 and 2017 I interned with the Creative Technology Labs (CTL) at Adobe. At Adobe I collaborated with Bryan Russell, Josef Sivic, Eli Schecthman, and Oliver Wang.
