Little Rascal

Cuteness peering from a thorny Acacia tree, but be warned. At Lake McIlwaine Ned and I left our car parked and walked a short distance to an ancient rock-art site. When I returned for a camera, the car was covered with these guys, trying to find a way in. And it took some serious persuasion to convince the cheeky critters to abandon their quest.

At Samburu Nat'l Park in 1999, my wife, Betsy, thought I was responsible for rustling sounds she heard in our tent. Realizing I was not where the sound was, she looked up and saw a Black-faced Vervet helping itself to some freeze-dried coffee.
