Air show

Only a minute or two before this picture was taken, this bird had been sailing through the sky with a pair of northern harriers, occasionally breaking away to swoop and skim the hilly terrain at amazing speed, then back to the sky again. It reminded me of the P51 mustang taking out the airstrip in Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun." Finally, its curiosity evidently getting the best of it, the magnificent aerobat landed close enough to inspect a strange critter with a camera.
