Bare-faced Ibis in flight over the refuge

The skies over the refuge often were filled with thse birds. On the road between Campo Grande and the refuge, we saw flights of Southern Lapwings in the sky and Red-crested Cardinals in the fields. In the vicinity of the refuge, it was Yellow-billed Cardinals we saw in the fields. What an exotic place it seemed.
