Before joining NetSys @ UC Berkeley, I was a researcher at the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich. My research interests are in the areas of computer networking and distributed systems. I am broadly interested in understanding and tackling problems afflicting modern network systems.

I completed my Ph.D. from ETH Zurich. My dissertation's research focus has been on designing new protocols that improve low-power wireless network's coexistence. My dissertation incorporates concepts from signal processing and machine learning into the design of cognitive network protocols to tackle the wireless coexistence challenge facing emerging low-power wireless systems. I have also been a research intern at the Stanford University during my Ph.D.

I have received a Master's degree in CS from RWTH Aachen University, Germany and a Bachelor degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Birzeit University, Palestine.
