Course description
Course goals (We teach them...)
- To understand the design and planning of animation
- Traditional and computer animation techniques
- How to use animation and multimedia tools
- They then produce animations and put on web
- Massive final group projects which
go on web
Methods
- Walk before they can run
- Pencil test done on post-its
- Learn UNIX, Pine (email) and Emacs (web design)
- Surf around and become comfortable with web
- Create a home page
- Create animations & pictures and put on web
- Students encouraged to use 3D models from friends
- Through the web, they can see each others' work!
