About the CSGSA

To help the new graduate students, the CSGSA:

• Holds an orientation event with CS grad students
• Matches incoming graduate students with big siblings who can answer questions and help students adjust to life in Berzerkeley.

The CSGSA helps students prepare for the prelims by:

• Maintains a library of prelim documents (research papers, last years' questions, etc).
• Holds prelim review sessions at the beginning of every semester.

The CSGSA also encourages a friendly, social environment for students and faculty through:

• (Well-attended) weekly social hour with food/beverages.
• Spring and Fall picnics.
• Post-Prelim party.
• Other occasional social activities.
• Maintaining a photo-board of all CS students and faculty.

The CSGSA makes grad students' opinions heard on departmental policy decisions by:

• Assisting in both Faculty and student recruitment.
• Holding student to faculty feedback sessions every semester.
