EE100 Laboratory - Parts List
Parts will be handed out to each student during the first laboratory, except parts listed in red which will be available only during lab sessions.
Note that parts will be reused between different labs, so make sure not to loose them! You will be allowed to keep your parts at the end of the semester.
1) Voltmeter and power supplies
- Resistors: 10, 22, 47, 100, 150, 220, 270, 470, 680, 1kOhm
- Solar cell (e.g. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062564&cp=&sr=1&o)
- Halogen lamp, e.g. IKEA "ESPRESSIVO"
2) Circuit simulation
- Simulation only, no parts
3) Circuit elements
- 1kOhm resistor
- Schottky diode
- IRF510 MOSFET
4) Strain gage
- Omega KFG-30-120-C1-11L1M2R prewired strain gage mounted on 20" long Al flat band. The center of the gage is 7" from one end of the Al band. Use 3/4" by 1/8" stock. Mount plastic container on end to hold weights.
- Clamp
- Weights: ~200grams cut from steel rod or bar (all weights must be equal within 2%, but the absolute value is not critical).
- 3 120Ohm resistors
- 3 1kOhm resistors
- 1 100Ohm potentiometer
- AD623 instrumentation amplifier
5) Operational amplifier
- Resistors: 47, 100, 470, 1k, 2x 3.9k, 10k, 100k, 470k, 1MOhm

- LM555C timer chip
- 8Ohm speaker with leads

7) Voltage booster
- 100V Schottky diode (e.g. MBR 1100)

- Coilcraft RFB0807-562L 5.6mH inductor
- Resistors 10, 100, 470, 1kOhm 0.5W
- Resistors 2.7k, 3.9k, 4.7k, 10k, 20kOhm 0.25W
- 1uF capacitor (electrolytic)
8) Frequency domain signals
One board per group of 2 students handed out at beginning of lab.
